The Brazilian truck driver is a man, 30 to 40 years old, studied until high school, lives in the southeast and is the main source of income for the family. This is what the Truck Driver Profile points out, which sought to define who the truck driver is today in the country.

Only 2.6% of drivers are women. This minority, besides suffering prejudice by the profession, is also worse paid. The average salary of the truck driver in Brazil is 1,664 reais, while the trucker receives 1,617. The difference seems small, but in 1 year, it is 564 less than the woman received. In São Paulo, inequality increases: 71 reais are discounted from the trucker's salary, 852 reais per year, almost a minimum wage.
